As much as I love summer and all of its beer-soaked, sundress, food-cooked-on-the-grill glory, there is something quite comforting about fall. It's getting to be that time again where we go back to school, get back to reality, and bundle up with a cozy sweater and a latte. It's beginning to look a bit like fall at the La Poubelle Vintage HQ with some seasonal transition pieces trickling into the shop. Here are some of my favorites. [All images are linked]

Ok, so we all know that Playboy magazine is increasingly misogynistic and degrading but there's still some lingering allure for me about Playboy Bunnies from the '60s. Right? The outfits! The hair! The winged eyeliner! Don't you wish you could be a fly on the dressing room wall at one of the original Playboy Clubs? After digging through lots of old Bunny photos, I cam across this Playboy Club Bunny Manual from 1960. A few fun tidbits: Bunnies got paid just $1.25 per hour for photo shoots, were expected to look "Bunny perfect" while at work, and weren't allowed to date or socialize with club members. Serious business, being a Bunny!

I'm super psyched to announce my latest vintage pop up event! This time I'm teaming up with cross-country mobile shop Coast to Coast Vintage and taking over a really rad ice cream shop in Brooklyn, OddFellows Ice Cream Co.
Please stop by our ice cream social for a double dose of vintage trailer awesomeness–plus creamy frozen treats! OddFellows is known for their wacky ice cream combos and they've cooked up a super special vintage-inspired flavor for one night only! Choose the snazzy new flavor and you'll score 15% off at either vintage boutique! Hope to see you there!
