My Latest Project on Kickstarter
So I've been harassing my friends on Facebook for the past week now so its about time I shared my latest project with you! I've just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the launch of a mobile vintage shop that I have been dreaming up for some time now. The page has a lot of the nitty gritty details but in short, I'm going to buy a 1960s or 1970s pull-behind trailer, gut and renovate it, and turn it into a little shop on wheels that I'll drive around New York and beyond! It'll be kind of like the awesome gourmet food trucks out there, just filled with hand-selected vintage clothes and accessories! Mobile retail is picking up on the West Coast but New York really doesn't have any shops on wheels, so this will be a first of its kind!
Please check out my page, and pledge if you feel so inclined. I just added a new reward tier and the first person to pledge $65, gets all the loot below including a 1970s hand-painted cotton scarf, a pair of glamorous 1960s flower earrings and a '70s suede purse with silver trim. If that doesn't strike your fancy, pledging over $50 gets you La Poubelle Vintage store credit! Plus, you'll get to watch a really cute video made by my friend Janelle Jones who is a super talented photographer/videographer.

Vintage Inspiration for Spring Style
Even though the skies are gray and the streets are full of
slush, I’m beginning to fantasize about spring, namely spring fashion. As
usual, vintage is providing the inspiration, especially a little pocket of time in
the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. I especially love the looks like that don’t
necessarily have the trademark crazy prints and cuts of the ‘70s, but are just
well done classic pieces. I want to get back to this style of dressing and focus
on simple fashion that fits perfectly. The photos below are a little Jane
Birkin heavy as she is one of all-time favorite style inspirations. Most of these
photos were pulled from Pinterest if you’d like to follow my pins!
